Helping communities to boost tourism and generate income in their local area

We worked with communities to help plan projects that will enhance tourism in the local area, encourage people to explore the great outdoors, and bring benefits to the local economy.

ACT Hubs support

The ACT Hubs project team have supported communities to transform great ideas in to achievable projects. The support we offered included assistance to define project goals, calculate project costs, find appropriate funding, and seek expert advice, amongst other tasks which helped prepare projects for delivery. We supported a range of community projects including access, interpretation, habitat improvement and volunteering programmes. The project had a full-time project officer (Elaine Cameron) and part-time finance and marketing officers (Ann Scott and Anna Headrige).
