  1. About us

National and regional priorities

Working alongside our partnership organisations in Argyll and the Isles gives us a great overview of widespread activities. It also inspires us to make a difference on many different levels, for example at local, regional, and national scales.

We want to make a real difference, and to ACT where and when it matters most.

We aim to take a strategic approach with our activities so that they can have widespread benefits. Our objectives and activities align with national and regional policies to help in this approach.

These include:

  • Argyll and Bute Outcome Improvement Plan 2013 - 2023, particularly...
    • Outcome 1: The economy is diverse and thriving
    • Outcome 3: Education, skills and training maximises opportunities for all
    • Outcome 5: People live active, healthier, and independent lives.
  • Argyll and Bute Council’s Local Development Plan
  • Argyll and Bute Council's Economic Development Action Plan
  • Forestry Commission Scotland Woods for Health strategy
  • HIE Strengthening communities and fragile areas
  • Scottish Forest Strategy
  • Scottish Government National Health and Wellbeing Outcomes
  • Scottish Natural Heritage Corporate Plan 2018 - 2022
