We are delighted to receive our Bronze Carbon Literacy Organisation (CLO) Award!

The award not only recognises our commitment to carbon literacy, it also provides us with a platform to deliver Carbon Literacy training widely in Argyll and Bute. This gives individuals, businesses and organisations access to locally relevant climate change education and certification.

We received the award the same week that we delivered more community-focused training. And at the time of writing, we had the pleasure of sending out more certificates to residents the length and breadth of Argyll.

We are well on our way to reaching the next achievement level of Silver Award. In many aspects, we already exceed the criteria. Over half of the ACT staff team are already qualified as Carbon Literate and in the recruitment of recent positions, we specify Carbon Literacy Certification as a desirable qualification.

About Carbon Literacy Organisation award

A CLO is an organisation that has been accredited by The Carbon Literacy Project as having a substantial commitment to Carbon Literacy. CLO accreditation supports the development (and recruitment and retention) of a carbon-literate workforce and requires an organisation to engage positively with its audience or community in developing and delivering low-carbon behaviour.
