Based in Dunoon on the Firth of Clyde, this year’s festival will run from Friday 5th to Friday 12th October inclusive with its usual varied and exciting range of carefully graded walks to suit all ages, interests and ability.  There is also a charity walk this year in aid of Ollie’s Wee Bothy.

Fourteen new walks are included alongside old favourites with transport being provided as necessary.  The walk leaders and organisers of CowalFest are all volunteers who are keen for others to enjoy the magnificence of the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll.

Social walks are a new feature this year.  They allow for good walking coupled with a rest at an appropriate refreshment stop.  Walks of special interest include geology, bird watching, photography, meditation.  Heritage walks also feature as do more strenuous all day treks.  Evening activities such as Music in the Smiddy and a quiz night cater for those looking for something to do in the evenings.

Fantastic scenery, friendly faces and value for money.  What more do you need?  Come and join us!
